Welcome to the Lamphere Schools Nutrition Services Department.

Lamphere Nutrition Services

New Federal Guidelines for Snacks Sold in Schools New federally mandated snack and beverage standards were implemented effective July 1, 2014 in school districts nationwide. This will impact snacks sold by the district and through school fundraisers. In accordance with the Healthy Hunger- Free Kids Act and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Lamphere Schools has implemented the required nutrition standards for all snacks sold in school These standards for snack sales are in effect from any time before school through one-half hour (30 minutes) after school. These standards do not apply to items sold beginning 30 minutes after school through the rest of the day. The standards do not apply to foods brought from home for personal consumption or to foods provided to students at no cost like approved special events.

Our program which is regulated by the United States Department of Agriculture, is designed to provide your child with 1/3 of his/her recommended dietary allowance. A school lunch consists of five components:

Meat or Meat Alternate
Fluid Milk

Our Trained Staff works hard to ensure that your child receives the finest food quality and service each and every day in a safe environment. We are happy to provide them with the nutrients they need to grow and learn.

We keep track of what your child ate and so can you!

The Food Service Program has a computer system to track your Child's lunch and breakfast account. This computer system will track your Child's account, the history of what your child has eaten and help with those children who have allergies to certain foods. The POS computer system (Point of Sale) will be beneficial not only to the Food Service Department but also you. You can now pre-pay for breakfast and lunch for your child. Each student will have a Food Service Account. You simply put money into your child's account. You are welcome to put in as much money at a time in your child's account as you wish. When your child purchases lunch or breakfast the money will be deducted from your child's account.

If you would like to put money into your Child's Account please follow the following procedure.

  1. Make Check Payable to Lamphere Lunch Fund.
  2. Place Check in an envelope with your Child's name on it and the words LUNCH MONEY
  3. For Page and LHS students: Turn your money in to the cafeteria manager.
For Elementary students: Turn your lunch money envelope into your teacher.
  4. Your Child will be notified when he/she has $4.00 left in his/her account.

You can track your student's account on-line by using ParentConnect. If you need a PIN and password, please contact your school office.

Please feel free to contact the Food Service Department with any questions or concerns. Thank you Have a Healthy Day! Katie McConkie Phone: 248-589-7935 Email: mcconkiek@lamphereschools.org
