Extra Credit

Each class has several ways of achieving extra credit:

1.  Most tests have "built in" extra credit by having extra points given to the exam to bring it to an even 100 points, or by answering extra credit questions.

2.  Students can bring in items that are relevant to what we are studying.  These items can either be donated to the science department or simply shown to classmates.  Students should ask permission for bringing items to eliminate potential dangers, or damage to items or unexpected "live" animals.

3.  Most classes have occasional games (wordsearches or crosswords) that are given out for extra credit usually at least once per quarter.

4.  Many community service events (canned food drive, voice book drive) have extra credit participation included.
