HI there!!
My name is Erin Saxe. This is my sixth year with Lakeland Middle School and my eleventh year as a School Counselor. I am thrilled to be a part of your student’s success as a Hawk and beyond.
A little about myself: I was born and raised in Ellensburg, WA and upon graduation went into the ROTC program at the University of San Francisco studying Sociology and Military Science. I was commissioned as an officer in the United States Army and served in Germany as a Military Police Officer. After finishing my commitment, I got out of the Army and obtained a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling becoming a School Counselor in Colorado Springs, CO for five years. My husband retired from the Army in 2019 and we decided to land here in Rathdrum!! Throughout our time in the Army we lived in Missouri, Germany, Tennessee, Kansas, Texas, Colorado, Missouri again and now the beautiful state of Idaho. I LOVE to travel, eat, enjoy the four seasons and to engage in everything outdoors!!
I look forward to getting to know more Hawk students and helping them help themselves. My overall goal is to teach students personal responsibility, self-discipline, the positive and negative consequences of choices and the value of making education their #1 priority.

Hello Lakeland Families,
I am so happy to be working at Lakeland Junior High School for my eighth year. My role as the School Counselor is so rewarding and I enjoy getting to know the students and families here.
I am a native North Idahoan, born and raised in this beautiful area. Not only that, I spent all 12 years of my education in the Lakeland district and graduated from Lakeland High School. It has been an honor to work in the district that I grew up in! My background is in Social Work and prior to joining Lakeland Junior High I worked for 15 years in the area of developmental disabilities.
My family and I live in Spirit Lake where we enjoy playing in the woods together. We enjoy skiing, motorcycle racing, and camping in our free time! Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns.
