American History


Eighth grade social studies is dedicated to the study of American History from colonization to the American Civil War.  We will learn about the people, places, and events in the development of our country. In this course, students will acquire chronological knowledge and skills in map reading, chart/graph analysis, reading comprehension,
expression, oral presentation, observation, questioning, making inferences, establishing cause and effect, making comparisons, and examining documents, and note taking in various styles. We will create artifacts, exhibits, informational articles, and much more to share our knowledge of American history.
