Fall 2024: Cispus Outdoor School Sept. 16-20!

Taking Staff Applications NOW!

We are looking for a few good people!

Adult Volunteers: please apply here

Adult volunteers are needed, especially men to help supervise the boys cabin areas.  We typically need 6-12 adults to be instructors, program assistants, nurses, and do other jobs. We also need a lot of short term help before and after the week.

High School Counselors: please apply here  Counselors are selected early but often have to drop out due to school, sports, and work commitments. Alternates are frequently needed right up until the day we leave for camp. If you are at all inclined to to apply, please do it now! Ask your friends to apply too.

RUNING START: Clark starts the week AFTER we go to to Cispus, so it is possible to do both!  We LOVE Running Start students!

Registration Information

Outdoor school will Sept. 16-20 at Cispus Learning Center near Randle, Washington.  Registration packets will go out in spring, with registrations due by the last day of school.  If you did not pick up a packet at 6th grade orientation, additional copies of the registration packet are available at the middle school office. Does Your Child Take Medications?

If your child regularly uses prescription or non prescription medications, you will need take action to make sure you child has access to those medications at Cispus.

Doctor's Note: No matter whether the medication is prescription or over the counter, you will need to have a doctors note for the medication to be used at Cispus.

Prescriptions: It is best if you can get a fresh prescription to send to Cispus. See the "Making Sense of Meds" handout below for details. If you can arrange for this during the summer it can take some of the stress out of the start of the school year.

Over the Counter Medications: These still require a signed doctor's note. It is necessary to send a new, unopened container of whatever medication is needed. A good guideline to use is send this type of medication only if your child has used it in the last three months.  Unnecessary medications slow the check in process and generate a lot of extra work for our school and volunteer staff.
