Adult Volunteers: please apply here

adult volunteers will be selected some time before Winter Break. We typically need 6-12 adults to be instructors, program assistants, nurses, and other jobs. We also need short term help before and after the week.

High School Counselors: please apply here Counselors will be selected by the end of Winter Break, but alternates are frequently needed right up until the day we leave for camp. If you are at all inclined to to apply, it's not too late.

RUNING START: Clark starts the same week we go to to Cispus, so it might be hard for you this year. It is possible to do both. Talk to Mr. Westerberg and talk to your professors before classes start. You should be able to get the assignments ahead of time and make progress on them before you go.

What is Cispus Learning Center Like?

Here is a short youtube video which shows the basics. This was produced by an outside group but we use all these facilies too--Click Here

Does Your Child Take Medications?

If your child regularly uses prescription or non prescription medications, you will need take action to make sure you child has access to those medications at Cispus.

Doctor's Note: No matter whether the medication is prescription or over the counter, you will need to have a doctors note for the medication to be used st Cispus.

Prescriptions: It is best if you can get a fresh prescription to send to Cispus. See the "Making Sense of Meds" handout below for details. If you can arrange for this during the summer it can take some of the stress out of the start of the school year.

Over the Counter Medications: These still require a signed doctor's note. It is necessary to send a new, unopened container of whatever medication is needed. A good guideline to use is send this type of medication only if your child has used it in the last three months. Unnecessary medications slow the check in process and generate a lot of extra work for our school and volunteer staff.
