Mrs. Podolsky

    Dear Families,

First grade is an exciting year and I am looking forward to working with you and your child as a team, and helping them develop to the fullest of their potential. Together we can instill the confidence and skills needed to succeed.

This will be my eleventh year in the Kuna School District. I graduated from Boise State University (Go BRONCOS!) in the Spring of 2006 with an emphasis in Social Studies and an endorsement in Reading. I am currently working on my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction through Boise State.  Our classroom has a grant program called Bird by Bird, and this will be my third year incorporating this program into the first grade curriculum. I am excited to share my love of birds with your child and your family.

This summer has been very busy! I enjoyed spending time with my family and staying home with my son Rowan. We enjoyed many trips to ZOO Boise. Rowan really loves the butterfly exhibit and feeding the goats! Conservation efforts are something that my family values and supporting our zoo is one way that we can contribute locally. My husband, Matthew, runs a nonprofit dedicated to wildlife conservation through media platforms, and our summer was spent supporting his company in multiple film festivals. We spent two weeks in Maine visiting family and took Rowan on his first overnight backpacking trip in New Hampshire.  It was a great adventure and the summer went by so quickly!

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your child's learning experience. I am looking forward to a fun year of learning!
