Mrs. Cotter's Earth Science

Welcome to my class! You can find materials, assignments, and a schedule for my class on Schoology. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to email me. This class will cover a whole bunch of topics, like the nature of science, Earth's interior, plate tectonics, weathering and erosion, weather and climate, and even some space! We will read, do labs, and make models to help us learn the important concepts. My hope is that you will leave my class with a better understanding of the Earth around us as well as a better understanding of science and how it works. I look forward to learning with you this year!

A little about me:
My name is Ainsley Cotter. I have a degree in zoology from Idaho State University and an M.S. in science education from Oregon State University. I've been married to my husband, Jordan, for four years now. We live right here in Kuna with our dog, Micah. He is a goofball! This year we are also expecting a baby. In fact, I will be missing a few weeks this fall for maternity leave. Don't worry, we will be off to a good start by then and you will have no trouble keeping up and learning neat science in my absence. In my free time, I like to read (especially fantasy books), go birdwatching, and watch movies.
