Mrs. Caiola

Dear Room 20 Fourth Grade Families,

Hello! My name is Mrs. Alicia Caiola.  The 2015-2016 school year is impending and I am extremely excited to get to know my new students and have a wonderful year of learning, discovery, and growth!

First I would like to tell you a little about myself! I was born in Ramona, CA and I am the youngest of five girls. When I was 12, we moved to Oak Harbor WA.  I attended Oak Harbor High School, where I met my husband, and we graduated in 1986. My husband joined the Navy after high school and I adjusted well to military life.

My husband and I have three grown children. Our oldest son is in the Navy, our daughter attends BSU and works at Nampa's JC Penny's, and our youngest son graduated high school in 2015, currently works in the restaurant industry and will start community college in the fall! Both boys are Eagle Scouts as well and our amazing daughter, we are incredibly blessed to announce, is a brain cancer survivor of 4 strong years.

I graduated from the University of Phoenix May 2014. I have lived in Caldwell, Idaho for the past 11 years. During the years of arriving in Idaho and becoming a teacher, I worked for the Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections as the school registrar.  Before moving to the gorgeous state of Idaho, my family roamed all over during my husband's 21 year Naval career. We have lived in Sasebo, Japan for three years; Bremerton, WA for two years; San Diego, CA twice for a total of six years; and Ft. Meade, MD for three years.

Some personal info about me, love animals, singing, nature, hiking, reading, movies, cooking, going to the theater, and I have a crazy collection of penguin stuff.

I eagerly look forward to getting to know you and your children this school year! We will have many wonderful experiences and opportunities to learn and grow in the days ahead. Please feel free to stop by the classroom to meet me in person, and thank you in advance for the opportunity to work with your PAW-ESOME, rock star fourth grader!
