Integral equations are equations that contain the unknown function under the integral sign.
The term integral equation was introduced by Dll Bois – Reymond in 1888. However, the early history of integral equations goes back to considerable time before that to Laplace who used in 1782 the integral transform to solve linear difference equations and differential equations
