The Course

The study of novel is an essential part of any department that teaches English language. It is also part of the requirements for achieving BA in English language and literature. The importance of studying novel stems from the fact that it will teach the students how to understand and approach this genre. Thus, the students will have an access to comprehending the literary texts they study, and also it will increase their knowledge of literature in general.
This course is divided into semesters. The period of each semester is about fifteen weeks. The first semester deals with the modern American novel represented by F.Scott.Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby .The second semester will cover the Modern British novel represented by Goerge Orwell’s The Animal Farm.
