CLASS OF 2021 Important News!


May 3 - PHS Senior Signing Day is next Monday, May 3 during the second block. The event will start at 10am and end at 11:30am (second block). Early grads and virtual students please arrive by 9:45am and remember to bring your mask. I encourage seniors who plan to attend college to wear your college colors.   • 8am-9am- Senior Pancake Breakfast in the complex. Seniors are encouraged to arrive between 8am-8:30am.

  • 9am-9:30am- Senior Awards Day Practice (You must bring your graduation gown, only gown, no cap or tassel or stole) Please bring a hanger and name in back of gown.

  • 10am-12:00pm- Senior Awards Day on PHS Football Field. All parents are invited to attend. Senior Awards formal invite is attached. (You must wear your graduation gown, only gown, no cap or tassel or stole) Please bring a hanger and name in back of gown.

  • 12pm-12:30pm- Senior Thank You delivery to teachers

  • 12:30pm-3:30pm Senior Picnic/Yearbook distribution in the complex/football field. Seniors will be provided a Chick Fil A lunch with a game of Bingo and lots of door prizes. Seniors encourage to bring beach towel, sunglasses sunscreen and yard games.

  • Student Email: Check your student email on Outlook365 app or webpage. Lots of important info will be shared through email. Same log in for your email that you are using to log in your chrome book. Click HERE for email or "How to check student email tab."

  • SCOIR: SCOIR accounts are used as a resource for virtual tours and applications for colleges. Click HERE for SCOIR account. If you need to reset passwords, your student email is the email and user name to reset.

  • The University of Alabama's Free App Week starts NOW!

Your students have until 11:59 p.m. CST on November 20 to apply to UA with their free code.

How to use the code:

1. Fill out the application in its entirety.

2. DO NOT mark the fee waiver box at the beginning of the application.

3. At the end of the application, type the student's free code into the 'Staff Only Use' box above the submit button.

  • UT Martin Free Application is offering our Fall 2021 admissions application free of charge September 21-23 as part of college application and exploration week. Students can apply at www.utm.edu/apply. The application fee will be turned off during the three-day period, and students will not have to provide any documentation. As requested by THEC, we have produced a video that walks students through the application process. Feel free to share with your students!

  • ETSU is having a final fee waiver week February 1-5. In speaking with students, we have found that the Covid-19 pandemic has caused many high school seniors to be behind in the college prep process and this includes applying. In an effort to assist these students as much as we can, we are offering one final fee waiver week.

The code is freshfuture and it will be entered into the promo code box at the end of the ETSU application.

  • Lee University Apply for FREE.We’ve created a specific code for your students to waive our $25 application fee. The code is APPLYTN and it will work any time, so feel free to pass this along to students even after this week.

Students will have the opportunity to listen and chat with a variety of UT faculty, staff, and scholars during this event.   • Career Exploration:

Elevate Electricity-Join us at Massey Electric to get a behind-the-scenes tour of their business, learn what a typical day on the job is like, and participate in a hands-on activity to test your electrical knowledge. Lunch will be provided. Feb 27 Middle school students-9:30-11 a.m. High school students-12:30-3 p.m.

Explore Engineering- Explore what it’s like to work in the in-demand fields of engineering and manufacturing. In this one-day workshop, build your own custom robot and learn what it takes to succeed in the industry. Lunch will be provided. Construction Basics- If you love solving problems and fixing things, explore a future in construction! In this one-day workshop, learn about how the industry is growing and participate in a hands-on activity. Lunch will be provided. Win with Welding-Make your own sculpture with welding! Learn about the world of welding and make your own unique piece as you practice cutting and grinding metal with a welder.   • Remote meetings connect students to campus without leaving home. With a remote meeting, prospective students can connect one-on-one with an Admissions recruiter to ensure they’re on track to becoming an enrolled student at Pellissippi State. To help students explore their opportunities at ETSU, we have created a new virtual visit experience and we have launched Bucky's ETSU Road Trip. With Bucky's ETSU Road Trip, we are bringing ETSU to your students. Admissions counselors will be visiting cities for outdoor, socially-distanced college information sessions. United States Army Cadet

  • UNITED STATES ARMY CADET VIRTUAL COLLEGE FAIR.
