June 10:

Deputy Paul Spear responded to a report of a structure fire in the town of Friendship.
Upon arrival, it was found that two sheds were fully inflamed. Friendship Fire responded
and extinguished the fire. No injuries reported.

Deputy Matt Elwell responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the town of Union
involving two vehicles, one of which backed into the other. Non-reportable damage
sustained.

Deputy John Palmer responded to assist Thomaston PD Officer Blais at the scene of a
motor vehicle crash in which the operator was arrested for OUI. This is a Thomaston PD
case.

Deputy Palmer conducted a radar detail in the town of Warren. No violations noted.

Deputy Elwell responded to a trespassing complaint in the town of Union. The subjects
involved were located and moved along after being issued a warning.

Deputy John Hansen began an investigation of harassment in the town of Warren. Both
subjects involved were issued a warning for same.

Deputies Spear and Paul Pinkham responded to a report of criminal mischief in the town
of South Thomaston. Two juvenile males were issued summonses for same.

June 11:

Deputy Pinkham arrested Mark Gagne, age 29 of Friendship on a probation hold. Subject
was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Deputy Hansen responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the town of Owls Head
involving a single vehicle backing into a pole. Reportable damage sustained.

Deputy Hansen began an investigation of harassment in the town of Hope. Once the
suspect is located, a warning will be issued for same.

Deputy Hansen began an investigation of harassment in the town of St. George. All
subjects involved were issued a warning for same.

Deputies Spear and Hansen responded to an assault in the town of Warren. Charges are
pending for the suspect once located.

Deputies Hansen and Spear responded to assist Thomaston PD Officers at the scene of a
reported burglary in progress. The area was searched and cleared without incident.

June 12:

Deputy Spear responded to assist Thomaston PD Officer Shaw in locating two vehicles
reported to be racing. The vehicles were located and held for the arrival of Officer Shaw.
This is a Thomaston PD case.

Deputy Palmer conducted a radar detail in the town of Warren. No violations noted.

Deputy Palmer responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the town of Warren
involving two vehicles, one of which rear ended the other. Reportable damage sustained.

Deputies Spear and Lt. Kirk Guerrette responded to assist Rockland PD Officers at the
scene of several subjects fighting. Upon arrival, the subjects were separated and held for
Rockland PD Officers. This is a Rockland PD case.

Deputy Dave Johnson responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the town of
Appleton involving a single vehicle striking a deer. Non-reportable damage sustained.

June 13:

Deputy Spear, with the assistance of Thomaston PD Officer Shaw, responded to a report
of a domestic in the town of Tenants Harbor. Subsequent to this response, Joshua
Porter, age 30 of Tenants Harbor was arrested on a charge of DV assault. Subject was
transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Deputy Spear responded to a report of a domestic on the island of Vinalhaven. Upon
arrival and after speaking to the parties involved, this was deemed a verbal argument only
and the parties separated.

Deputy Elwell arrested Laura Winchenbach, age 32 of Ellsworth on two outstanding
arrest warrants. Subject was taken to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Deputy Johnson began an investigation of harassment in the town of Warren. The
suspect was located and issued a warning for same.

June 14:

Deputy James Moore responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on the island of
North Haven involving a single vehicle whose operator left the roadway causing her
to strike a tree. The operator was taken to PBMC for injuries sustained and there was
reportable damage to the vehicle. Driver inattention was the key factor in this crash.

Deputy Elwell responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the town of St. George
involving two vehicles, one of which backed into the other. Reportable damage
sustained.

Deputy Palmer began an investigation of harassment in the town of Union. It was
found that the suspect involved was already warned by Law Enforcement on harassment
therefore, she was issued a summons for same.

Deputy Moore assisted Vinalhaven Fire Units at the scene of a structure fire by
conducting traffic control.

Deputy Palmer responded to a report of a domestic in the town of Union. Subsequent
to this response, Vanessa Frisbee, age 24 of Rockland was arrested on charges of DV
assault and VCR. Subject was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Deputy Johnson responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the town of Hope
involving a single vehicle striking a deer. Reportable damage sustained.

June 15:

Deputies Johnson and Pinkham responded to assist Thomaston PD Officer Quintero at
the scene of two males fighting. Both subjects warned on disorderly conduct.

Deputy Palmer responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the town of Warren
involving two vehicles, one of which rear ended the other. Reportable damage sustained.
The key factor in this crash was driver inattention.

While on routine patrol, Deputy Pinkham came upon two people fighting in the town of
South Thomaston. After speaking to both subjects involved, this was deemed a verbal
argument only and the parties were separated.

Subsequent to a traffic stop in the town of Cushing, Deputy Spear arrested Randall
Blasius, age 20 of Friendship on charges of OAS and FT stop for an Officer. Subject was
transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Deputy Johnson arrested Meredith Finley, age 28 of Rockland on four outstanding arrest
warrants and VCR. Subject was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Deputy Johnson arrested Paul Mahonen, age 34 of South Thomaston on a charge of VCR.
Subject was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

June 16:

Deputy Pinkham arrested April Rawley, age 38 on an outstanding arrest warrant. Subject
was taken to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Deputy Spear began an investigation of theft in the town of Warren. Charges are pending
for the suspect in this case.

Deputy Pinkham arrested Thomas Yattaw, age 43 of Owls Head on a probation violation.
Subject was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Deputy Palmer began an investigation of theft in the town of Hope. This is still an active
investigation with no suspects or leads at this time.

In total, this one week period, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office received 217 calls for
service. Those calls that are not listed above are such calls as ATV problems, Alarms,
911 hang-ups, along with Nuisance, Erratic vehicle and Suspicious complaints.

February 26:

Deputies Nathaniel Jack and Dave Johnson responded to assist Rockport PD Officer
Brown at the scene of a burglary. This is a Rockport PD case.

Deputy Jack arrested Robert Mooers, age 73 of Union on a charge of VCR. Subject was
transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Deputy John Palmer began an investigation of burglary in the town of Warren. This is
still an active investigation with no suspects or leads at this time.

Deputy James Moore responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the town of
Warren involving two vehicles. Reportable damage sustained.

Subsequent to a traffic stop in the town of Tenants Harbor, Deputy John Hansen arrested
Edward Thorbjornson, age 52 of Tenants Harbor on charges of VCR and operating
unregistered motor vehicle. Subject was transported to the Knox County Jail without
incident.

Subsequent to a bail check in the town of Tenants Harbor, Deputy Hansen arrested
Stephanie Thorbjornson, age 43 of tenants Harbor on charges of unlawful poss. of drugs,
poss. of marijuana and use/poss. of drug paraphernalia.

February 27:

Deputy Moore arrested Jared Small, age 35 of Norridgewock on an outstanding arrest
warrant.

Deputy Hansen arrested Paul Benner, age 27 of St. George on a charge of VCR. Subject
was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Washington involving two vehicles. Reportable damage sustained.

February 28:

Deputy Elwell began an investigation of burglary in the town of Warren. This is still an
active investigation with two suspects named.

Deputy Larry Hesseltine responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on the island of
Vinalhaven involving a single vehicle striking a deer. Non-reportable damage sustained.

February 29:

Deputy Jack responded to a request for a well-being check in the town of Friendship.
The two juveniles in question were located and all set for the evening. This incident is
still active and under review.

March 1:

Deputy Elwell responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the town of Union
involving two vehicles, one of which slid into the other due to slippery road conditions.
Reportable damage sustained.

Deputy Palmer responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the town of Warren
involving a single vehicle whose operator lost control due to the slippery road conditions,
causing him to leave the roadway and roll the vehicle. Reportable damage sustained.

Deputy Elwell responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the town of Washington
involving a single vehicle whose operator lost control due to slippery road conditions,
causing him to leave the roadway and strike a tree. Reportable damage sustained.

March 2:

Deputy Moore responded to assist Rockport PD Officer Butler at the scene of a domestic.
Upon arrival, contact was made with the subjects involved and both were warned on
disorderly conduct. This is a Rockport PD case.

Deputy Palmer began an investigation of MV burglary in the town of Warren. This is an
active investigation with no suspects or leads at this time.

Deputy Hansen responded to a motor vehicle crash in the town of Union involving
a single vehicle whose operator lost control on loose gravel, causing her to leave the
roadway and strike a ditch. Reportable damage sustained.

Subsequent to a traffic stop in the town of South Thomaston, Deputy Hansen arrested
Russell fox, age 56 of Damariscotta on a charge of OAS (habitual offender status).

Subject was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

March 3:

Deputy Hansen responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the town of Friendship
involving a single vehicle whose operator lost control due to slippery road conditions,
causing him to leave the roadway. Reportable damage sustained.

Deputy Hesseltine investigated a motor vehicle crash on the island of Vinalhaven
involving a single vehicle whose operator lost control due to slushy road conditions
causing him to leave the roadway and strike a tree. Reportable damage sustained.

Deputy Johnson responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the town of South
Thomaston involving a single vehicle striking a deer. Reportable damage sustained.

Deputies Johnson and Elwell responded to a report of a fatal snowmobile crash in the
town of Appleton. This crash is being investigated by the Warden Service.

In total, this one-week period, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office received 196 calls for

February 5:

Deputy James Moore responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the town of
Warren involving a single vehicle whose operator lost control causing him to leave the
roadway, strike a tree and roll the vehicle. The operator was transported to PBMC for
complaints of back pain via Waldoboro EMS. Reportable damage sustained.

Deputy Paul Spear began an investigation of burglary on the island of Matinicus. This is
still an active investigation.

February 6:

Deputies Dave Johnson and Spear responded to a report of a domestic in the town of
Friendship. Subsequent to this response, Justin Vosmus, age 25 of Friendship was
arrested on a charge of obstructing a report of a crime. Subject was transported to the
Knox County Jail without incident.

Deputy John Palmer responded to a report of a domestic in the town of Friendship.
Subsequent to this response, Justin Vosmus, age 25 of Friendship was again arrested and
transported back to the Knox County Jail on charges of VCR and DV assault.

Deputy Johnson responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the town of Tenants
Harbor involving a single vehicle striking a deer. Non-reportable damage sustained.

February 7:

Deputies John Hansen, Johnson and Sgt. Michael Sprague responded to a report of
criminal mischief in the town of Cushing. The suspect vehicle was located and resulted
in the arrest of Christopher Simmons, age 28 of Rockland on charges of OUI, OAS and
Criminal Mischief. Nicholas Adkins, age 21 of Warren was also arrested on charges of
Criminal Mischief and VCR. Both subjects were transported to the Knox County Jail
without incident.

Deputy Moore responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the town of Appleton
involving a single vehicle striking a deer. Reportable damage sustained.

Deputy Larry Hesseltine arrested Aaron Weaver, age 32 of Vinalhaven on an outstanding
arrest warrant.

Deputy Nathaniel Jack arrested Ericka Gray, age 24 of Cushing on an outstanding arrest
warrant. Subject was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Deputy Jack arrested Paul Benner, age 27 of St. George on an outstanding arrest warrant.
Subject was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

February 8:

Deputy Moore responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the town of Warren
involving two vehicles, one of which backed into the other. Reportable damage
sustained.

Det. Dwight Burtis arrested Roy Allen, age 44 of Rockland on an outstanding arrest
warrant.

February 9:

Det. Justin Twitchell investigated a motor vehicle crash in the town of Hope involving a
single vehicle striking a deer. Reportable damage sustained.

Deputy Palmer began a fraudulent documents investigation in the town of Warren. The
suspect was located and issued a notice for same.

Deputy Jack arrested John Young, age 23 of Cushing on an outstanding arrest warrant.
Subject was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

February 10:

Deputy Palmer arrested Karena Parker, age 34 of Waldoboro on an outstanding arrest
warrant. Subject was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Deputy Palmer arrested Daryl Young, age 35 of friendship on an outstanding arrest
warrant. Subject was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Deputy Palmer arrested Kaili Mayberry, age 23 of Jefferson on an outstanding arrest
warrant. Subject was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Subsequent to a traffic stop on the island of Vinalhaven, Deputy Hesseltine arrested
Nathan Miller-Hildings, age 19 of Vinalhaven on charges of OUI and VCR. Subject was
transported to the Knox County Jail by Deputy Spear, via Marine Patrol without incident.

Deputy Spear began an investigation of harassment in the town of St. George. The
suspect was located and issued a warning for same.

February 11:

Deputy Palmer responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the town of Warren
between two vehicles. Non-reportable damage sustained.

Deputy Palmer arrested Kyle Bragdon, age 24 of Waldoboro on an outstanding arrest
warrant. Subject was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Deputies Matt Elwell and Spear responded to a threatening complaint in the town of
Union. Subsequent to this response, Anthony Baker, age 21 was arrested on charges of
terrorizing and VCR. Subject was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Deputies Palmer and Spear responded to a report of a domestic in the town of Friendship.
This incident was deemed a verbal argument only and the parties separated for the
evening.

The male subject involved was issued a warning for same.

Deputy Palmer responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the town of Washington
involving a single vehicle whose operator left the roadway, striking a tree. Subsequent
to this response, Tobby Stinson, age 34 of Washington was arrested on charges of OUI,
VCR, Unlawful poss. of sched. “w” drugs, leaving the scene of an accident, failing to
report accident by quickest means, operating with an expired license and failing to have
insurance. Subject was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Deputy John Hansen responded to a report of a distressed female in the town of Owls
Head. The female was located and voluntarily went to PBMC via Rockland EMS for an
evaluation.

Deputy Dave Johnson responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the town of Hope
involving a single vehicle whose operator lost control, causing him to leave the roadway.
Reportable damage sustained.

Deputy Hansen began an investigation of burglary in the town of South Thomaston. This
is still an active investigation with one suspect named.

January 23:

Deputy James Moore responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the town of South
Thomaston involving a single vehicle with extensive damage. Upon arrival, it was found
that the occupants left the scene. Subsequent to this response, Kevin Richards, age 21 of
South Thomaston was arrested on charges of operating MV after revocation, leaving the
scene of an accident, failing to report accident and VCR x’s 2. Subject was transported to
the Knox County Jail without incident.

Deputy Matt Elwell began an investigation of theft in the town of Union. Pending
charges for the suspect involved.

Deputy Elwell began an investigation of threatening in the town of Hope. The two

suspects involved have been issued warnings for same.

January 24:

Deputies Johnson, John Hansen and Sgt. Michael Sprague responded to a report of a
domestic in the town of Washington. Subsequent to this response, Allen Shenett, age 46
of Washington was arrested on a charge of DV assault. Subject was transported to the
Knox County Jail without incident.

Deputy Moore responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the town of Appleton
involving a single vehicle striking a deer. Non-reportable damage sustained.

Deputy Larry Hesseltine responded to a report of an adult male threatening to harm
himself on the island of North Haven. Upon arrival and after speaking to the male
involved, it was determined that he be transported to PBMC for an evaluation. The
subject went voluntarily via North Haven Rescue.

January 25:

Deputy Moore arrested Charlotte Shellman, age 37 of Rockland on an outstanding arrest
warrant.

Deputy Elwell responded to an erratic vehicle complaint in the town of Rockport.
Contact was made with the operator of the vehicle and a warning was issued.

Deputy Nathaniel Jack arrested Krysti Hallett, age 28 of Waldoboro on an outstanding
arrest warrant.

January 26:

While on routine patrol in the town of St. George, Deputy Jack came upon a stopped
vehicle with a female drive that appeared to be passed out. Subsequent to this, Valerie
Corbett, age 43 of Cushing was arrested on a charge of OUI Drugs. Subject was
transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Deputy Elwell began an investigation of burglary in the town of Union. This is still an
active investigation with no suspects or leads at this time.

Deputy Steve Grasso arrested Alan Adams, age 42 of North Haven on a charge of VCR.
Subject was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Deputies Jack and Lt. Kirk Guerrette responded to a report of a domestic in the town of
South Thomaston. Upon arrival and after speaking to the subjects involved, the parties

separated for the evening.

Deputies Jack and Lt. Guerrette responded to a report of an assault in the town of Owls
Head. The two females involved were issued no contact warnings and the aggressor was
issued a summons for assault.

Deputies Jack and Lt. Guerrette responded to a report of an underage drinking party in
the town of Owls Head. Subsequent to this response, Todd Nickles, age 19 of Owls Head
was arrested on a charge of furnishing a place for minors to consume / possess alcohol.
Subject was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Lt. Guerrette responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the town of Camden
involving a single vehicle striking a deer. Reportable damage sustained.

January 27:

Deputy Palmer began a fraudulent document investigation in the town of South
Thomaston. The suspect in the case was issued a notice for same.

Several responses were made throughout the County for vehicles off the road due to the
storm. All were non-reportable.

January 28:

Deputy Palmer arrested Trevor Hansen, age 27 of Rockland on an outstanding arrest
warrant.

Deputy Palmer arrested Robert Williams, age 61 of Warren on an outstanding arrest
warrant.

Deputy Hansen arrested Troy Crane, age 20 of Tenants Harbor on an outstanding arrest
warrant.

Deputy Palmer began an investigation of a MV theft in the town of Owls Head. The
three juvenile females involved were issued summonses for their offenses.

Deputies Hansen and Sgt. Sprague responded to a 911 hang-up call in the town of St.
George. Subsequent to this response, Helen Kennedy, age 48 of Rockland was arrested
on a charge of DV assault. Subject was transported to the Knox County Jail without
incident.

In total, this one week period, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office received 178 calls for

December 25:

Deputy John Palmer responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the town of
Tenants Harbor involving a single vehicle whose operator failed to negotiate a curve in
the roadway, causing him to strike a mailbox and post. Reportable damage sustained.

Deputy James Moore responded to a report of a suspicious male in the town of Cushing.
Subsequent to this response, Dwayne Ames, age 49 of Rockland was arrested on a charge
of VCR. Subject was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Deputy Steve Grasso responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on the island of
North Haven involving a single vehicle whose operator lost control due to the snowy
roadway, causing her to strike a sign. Non-reportable damage sustained.

Several other responses were made throughout the County due to slippery road conditions
causing vehicles to leave the roadway. No damage or injuries noted in any of these
responses.

December 26:

Deputy Moore responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the town of Cushing
involving a single vehicle whose operator lost control due to the slippery road conditions,
causing him to leave the roadway and roll the vehicle. Reportable damage sustained.

Deputy Moore began an investigation of theft in the town of Warren. The suspect was
caught on video and charges are pending.

Deputy Moore arrested Kimberly Scot, age 42 of Tenants Harbor on an outstanding arrest
warrant. Subject was taken to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Deputies John Hansen and Brandon Osgood responded to a report of a domestic in the
town of Warren. Upon arrival, it was found that the parties had separated. Probable
charges are pending.

December 27:

Deputies Dave Johnson and Sgt. Michael Sprague responded to a report of a domestic
in the town of Washington. Subsequent to this response, Tony Bartlett, age 21 of
Washington was arrested on charges of assault, DV assault, obstructing government
administration, refusing to submit to arrest, endangering the welfare of a child and
disorderly conduct. Subject was eventually transported to the Knox County Jail without
further incident.

Deputy matt Elwell arrested Joseph Davis, age 42 of Waldoboro on an outstanding arrest
warrant. Subject was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Deputy Osgood arrested David Oakes, age 44 of South Thomaston on charges of VCR
and violating a protection order. Subject was transported to the Knox County Jail
without incident.

December 28:

Deputies Elwell and Moore responded to a disorderly complaint in the town of South
Thomaston. Subsequent to this response, the male involved left the property and was
issued a warning not to return.

Deputy Nathaniel Jack responded to assist MSP Trooper Couturier at the scene of a
domestic in the town of Hope. The male subject involved was arrested and transported
to the Knox County jail without further incident by Trooper Couturier. This is an MSP
case.

December 29:

Deputy Palmer arrested Robert Moores, age 73 of Union on an outstanding arrest
warrant. Subject was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Deputy Jack responded to a report of an erratic vehicle in the town of Warren. The
vehicle and operator were located and the operator was issued a warning on his driving
habits.

Det. Justin Twitchell responded to assist Rockport PD Officer Sgt. Ford in locating a
male suspect reported to be having mental issues. The male was located and transported
to PBMC for an evaluation. This is a Rockport PD case.

December 30:

Deputy Moore began an investigation of theft on the island of Vinalhaven. The suspect
was caught on video and probable charges are pending.

Lt. Det. Reggie Walker arrested Arthur Marriner, age 47 of Owls Head on an outstanding
arrest warrant. Subject was taken to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Deputy Palmer responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the town of Cushing
involving a single vehicle whose operator failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway
causing him to strike a couple of trees. Reportable damage sustained with the operator
transported to PBMC via Cushing rescue for a medical evaluation.

Deputy Palmer responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the town of South
Thomaston involving a single vehicle striking a deer. Reportable damage sustained.

Deputies Hansen, Palmer and Chief Tim Carroll conducted a Countywide OUI detail. No
violations were noted.

December 31:

Subsequent to a traffic stop, Deputy Jack arrested Andrew Jones, age 20 of Cushing on
charges of operating without a license, furnishing a place for minors to consume, illegal
transportation of liquor by a minor and furnishing liquor to a minor. The female (minor)
was also issued a summons for poss. of liquor by a minor by consumption.

Deputy Elwell responded to assist MSP Trooper Hood at the scene of a domestic in the
town of Union. Upon arrival, it was found that the male involved had left the scene.
This is an MSP case.

Deputies Johnson and Osgood responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the town

himself on the island of Vinalhaven. Vinalhaven Rescue also responded and the subject
was transported to PBMC for an evaluation.

December 12:

Deputy Moore began an investigation of harassment in the town of Owls Head. The male
harasser was issued a warning for same.

Deputy Moore arrested Justin Hitz, age 36 of Cushing on an outstanding arrest warrant.
Subject was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Deputy Moore began an investigation of harassment in the town of Warren. The female
harasser was issued a warning for same.

Deputy Hesseltine responded to a report of a domestic on the island of Vinalhaven.
Subsequent to this response, Nicholas Ames, age 18 of Vinalhaven was arrested on a
charge of DV assault. Subject was bail via the Vinalhaven Bail Commissioner.

the town of Washington. Subsequent to this response, Ron Mole, age 52 of Washington

Deputy Palmer arrested Jennifer Bowen, age 37 of Warren on an outstanding arrest warrant.  Subject was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Deputy Palmer responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the town of Owls Head between two vehicles.  This crash involved one vehicle attempting to pass another with the other vehicle turning left without proper signaling, striking the passing vehicle.  Reportable damage sustained.

Deputy Jack responded to a report of an erratic vehicle in the town of St. George.  Subsequent to this response, Stephen Davis, age 47 of Tenants Harbor was arrested on a charge of OUI.  Subject was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Deputy Hesseltine responded to a report of a domestic on the island of Vinalhaven.  Upon arrival and after speaking to the subjects involved, this was deemed a verbal argument only and the parties separated for the evening.

Deputy Jack arrested Bridget Parker, age 26 of Tenants Harbor on five outstanding arrest warrants.  Subject was currently incarcerated at the Knox County Jail on unrelated charges.

Deputy Hansen conducted a Countywide OUI detail.  No violations were noted.


November 26:

Sgt. Sprague arrested Albert Fogg, age 27 of Rockland on a charge of VCR.  Subject was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Sgt. Sprague began an investigation of Harassment in the town of Rockport.  The male harasser was issued a warning for same.

Deputy Palmer arrested Dominic Raye, age 21 of Warren on charges of disorderly conduct, refusing to submit to arrest and obstructing government administration.  Subject was transported to the Knox County Jail without further incident.

Deputy Hansen arrested Travis Brown, age 23 of Union on charges of terrorizing, refusing to submit to arrest and disorderly conduct.  Subject was transported to the Knox County jail without further incident.

Deputy Hansen conducted a Countywide OUI detail.  No violations were noted.

Deputy Hansen arrested Kenneth Starr, age 42 of Rockport on a charge of OUI.  Subject transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Subsequent to a traffic stop, Sgt. Sprague, with the assistance of Deputy Osgood and Elwell, the following subjects were arrested for the following offenses:  Andrew Williams, age 23 of Warren on charges of VCR, unlawful poss. schedule ”z” drugs and three outstanding arrest warrants, Nicole Anderson, age 23 of Bremen on a probation hold and Kaili Mayberry, age 23 of Jefferson on charges of VCR and operating without a license.  All subjects were transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.



In total, this one week period, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office received 215 calls for service.  Those calls that are not listed above are such calls as ATV problems, Alarms, 911 hang-ups, along with Nuisance, Erratic vehicle and Suspicious complaints.

November 13:

Deputy Brandon Osgood began an investigation of Harassment in the town of Owls
Head. After speaking to the subjects involved, one was issued a warning for same.

Deputies John Palmer, Christopher Roy, James Moore and Det. Don Murray responded
to assist MSP Troopers at the scene of a shots fired complaint in the town of Appleton.
The male suspect in this case was located and arrested by Troopers Leonard and
Maddore. This is an MSP case.

Deputy Steve Grasso responded to a report of a burglary on the island of Vinalhaven.
This case was passed on to Deputy Larry Hesseltine for follow-up and it was found that
this is a civil matter rather than a burglary.

Deputies John Hansen and Moore responded to a report of a domestic in the town of
Warren. Subsequent to this response, Morgan Campbell, age 32 of Warren was arrested
on a charge of DV criminal mischief. Subject was transported to the Knox County Jail
without incident.

November 14:

Deputy Roy responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the town of Warren
involving a single vehicle leaving the roadway and striking a utility pole caused by a
vehicle defect. Reportable damage sustained.

Deputy Roy responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the town of Warren
involving a single vehicle striking a deer. Reportable damage sustained.

Deputy Roy responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the town of Friendship
involving a single vehicle striking a deer. Reportable damage sustained.

Det. Murray arrested James Benson, age 50 of Cushing on an outstanding arrest warrant.
Subject was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Deputies Hansen and Sgt. Michael Sprague responded to a report of a motor vehicle
crash in the town of St. George involving a single vehicle whose operator swerved
to avoid something in the roadway, causing her to strike a flatbed trailer parked in a
driveway. Reportable damage sustained. Operator was treated by St. George Ambulance
for a knee injury.

Subsequent to a traffic stop in the town of Friendship, Sgt. Sprague arrested Ashley

Hammer, age 24 of friendship on a charge of OUI. Subject was transported to the Knox
County jail without incident.

November 15:

Deputies Moore, Roy, Det. Murray and Det. Dwight Burtis responded to a report of a
domestic in the town of St. George. Subsequent to this response, Edward Thorbjornson,
age 42 of St. George was arrested on a charge of DV assault. Subject was transported to
PBMC where he was later PR bailed.

Deputy Roy began an investigation of harassment in the town of Cushing. Probable
charges are pending on the suspect.

Det. Burtis began an investigation of harassment in the town of South Thomaston. The
suspect in this case was issued a written notice for same.

Deputy Roy began an investigation of burglary in the town of Warren. This is still an
active investigation with no suspects or leads at this time.

Sgt. Sprague responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the town of St. George
involving a single vehicle whose operator swerved to miss an animal in the road, causing
him to lose control and strike a ditch. Non-reportable damage sustained.

November 16:

Deputies Moore, Roy and Matt Elwell responded to assist MSP Troopers at the scene of
an assault in the town of Union. Two subjects were arrested by MSP.

Deputy Elwell responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the town of South
Thomaston involving a single vehicle whose operator left the roadway, striking a utility
pole, after swerving to avoid a deer. Reportable damage sustained.

Deputy Elwell began a fraudulent document investigation in the town of St. George.
Charges are pending for the suspect.

Sgt. Steve Burns responded to assist Rockport PD Sgt. Ford in locating a male subject
who was said to be acting suspicious or in distress. The male was located and deemed all
set.

November 17:

Deputy Elwell responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the town of Warren
involving a single vehicle striking a deer. Reportable damage sustained.

Deputy Hesseltine arrested Oran Adair, age 20 of Vinalhaven on an outstanding arrest
warrant.

November 18:

Deputy Moore responded to a motor vehicle crash in the town of Warren involving a
single vehicle whose operator lost control after hitting a patch of “black ice”, causing
her to leave the roadway and roll the vehicle. Reportable damage and minor injuries
sustained.

Deputy Hansen began an investigation of harassment in the town of Owls Head. The
male harasser will be issued a written notice for same.

Deputy Moore began an investigation of harassment in the town of Cushing. One subject
involved was issued a warning for same.

Deputy Hesseltine responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on the island of
Vinalhaven. This incident involved two vehicles, one of which pulled out in front of the
other causing the collision. Reportable damage sustained.

Deputy Moore conducted an OUI detail in the towns of Owls head, South Thomaston and
St. George. No violations noted.

Deputy Hansen conducted an OUI detail in the town of Appleton. No violations noted.

Subsequent to a traffic stop in the town of Rockland, Sgt. Michael Sprague arrested Isiah
Roscoe, age 23 of Rockland on charges of VCR, Poss. of a usable amount of marijuana,
Poss. synthetic hallucinogens and use drug paraphernalia. Subject was transported to the
Knox County Jail without incident.

November 19:

Deputies Osgood and Sgt. Burns responded to a report of an intoxicated male in the town
of Tenants Harbor. After speaking to all subjects present and getting to the truth in this
incident, the male was picked up from his father and taken home. The male was of legal
age to consume alcohol.

Deputy Johnson responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the town of Warren
involving a single vehicle striking a deer. Non-reportable damage sustained.

Subsequent to a traffic stop in the town of Warren, Sgt. Sprague arrested Briannah Parlin,
age 20 of South Thomaston n charges of VCR, attaching false plates, operating w/out a
license, illegal poss. of alcohol by a minor by consumption, use / poss. drug paraphernalia
and illegal transportation of drugs by a minor. Subject was transported to the Knox
County Jail without incident.

Deputy Johnson responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the town of Warren
involving a single vehicle striking a deer. Reportable damage sustained.

Deputies Hansen and Palmer conducted a Countywide OUI detail. No violations noted.

Subsequent to a traffic stop in the town of Warren, Deputies Palmer and Sgt. Sprague
arrested Dylan Reed, age 18 of Appleton for operating without a license and illegal poss.
of liquor by a minor. Subject was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.
All passengers were also issued summonses for illegal poss. of liquor by a minor as well
and released to their parents.

In total, this one week period, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office received 189 calls for
