Developing Leadership Skills in Our Students and Athletes (Gr. K-8)

GRADE LEVELS: K-8
PRESENTER: Jeremy Bock - WLC

We live at a time when Christian servant leaders are needed more than ever. Educators are uniquely positioned to impact leadership development in their classrooms and schools but where do we start?  What can we do?   This interactive session will provide practical tools and strategies you can use to enhance leadership development in your students.

Jeremy is the Executive Director of the Center for Christian Leadership (CCL) at Wisconsin Lutheran College.  The CCL provides teaching, experiences, models, and mentorships that develop Christian servant leaders who will positively impact their home, business, community and church.  Prior to joining Wisconsin Lutheran College in February of 2016, Jeremy served 21 years as an educational leader in private education as a teacher, principal and consultant at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.  His dedication, commitment to excellence, and visionary skills allowed him to launch two new schools; Westside Christian School in Middleton, WI and the Christian Education Leadership Academy in Pewaukee, WI and leading the development of a third. The unique roles and experiences over those years allowed Jeremy to develop a diverse set of leadership skills and an ability to communicate a vision, build relationships, and execute business models to support the organization’s mission and vision. His professional experiences include serving on the Board of Regents for Fox Valley Lutheran High School and chairing their Academic Program Committee, serving as an accreditation consultant, and providing consulting services for schools and non-profit organizations. Jeremy lives in Jackson, WI with his wife Melissa and their five children, Elise, Amelia, Meredith, Anderson and Griffin. He enjoys camping and enjoying the outdoors with his family, cheering on the Badgers, and competing as a professional walleye tournament angler.
