Kekaulike Bowlers Open Season With Victory

Our Na Alii Bowling team won their season opener against Maui High this past weekend.  Dillon Ikeda, Ryan Siarot, and Trevor Onaga were the top bowlers claiming a 3-0 victory for the Boys' team. Jennea Nagura, Kiiley Kochi, and Adriana Araneta were the top bowlers for the Girls' team claiming a 3-0 victory.  Our Bowling team will be back on the lanes on Saturday against Kamehameha at 1:30pm at the Maui Bowling Center.

Mandatory Fall Sport Parent Meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2017

The Mandatory Fall Sport Parent Meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 5:30pm in the Cafeteria. All parent/guardians of those participating in Air Riflery, Bowling, Cheerleading, and Cross Country must attend for athlete participation. Please make every effort to be there.  If unable to attend, parent/guardians will have to schedule an appointment with the Athletic Department.

Air Riflery Sign Ups

Sign ups for Air riflery can be done during lunch and recess only in Mr. Shimabuku (H101), Kumu Kehau (H206), or Mr. Arakawa (K101) classes until August 15, 2017. 

JV Girls Volleyball Try Outs Begin Monday

For all 9th and 10th graders planning to tryout must have a completed Assumption of Risk Form and current DOE Athletics Physical form submitted and on file with our Athletic Trainers prior to Monday's try out. Tryouts will be in Kekaulike Gym beginning at 3:30pm. Any questions, please contact Coach Al at

Na Alii Sports Medicine Welcomes New Team Member

We are pleased to welcome our newest member to our Athletic Department Sports Medicine Team, Ms. Logan Rice, Athletic Trainer.  Logan comes to us via Idaho and the University of Wyoming.  We are very honored to have her on board!

Bowling to Open MIL Season on Saturday

Our Na Alii Bowling team will start up the Fall Season with its opener on Saturday against the Maui Sabers at Maui Bowling Center at 8:30am. Good luck!

Football in its second week of mandatory sessions

The official start date for football is July 17, 2017. All intending to tryout must attend all mandatory sessions and have all required forms submitted to Athletic Training Staff.

Kekaulike Football Youth Clinic Mahalos

Kekaulike Football hosted a two session youth football clinic this past weekend on the Upcountry campus. Attendees learned defensive skills and drills and competed in various competition sessions. Hosted by the Kekaulike football program, the clinic featured guest coaches from 3 And Out from Maui and Fastletics from Oahu. Both Fastletics and 3 And Out complete their Defensive skills camps this month and will start up again in the off season.  Mahalo all those who attended and also to the KKHS Cheer coaches for running the registration and sign in table. 

Congratulations Ryley Widell, Na Alii alumnus and Baseball standout drafted by Twins

Congratulations to Kekaulike alumnus Ryley Widell on being drafted in the 7th round to the Minnesota Twins. Prior to the draft, Widell was offered a scholarship to play at the University of North Carolina. Ryley is Kekaulike's first baseball player to be drafted. Congratulations and good luck!

Na Alii Baseball Alumnus Garners 1st Team Recognition and a National Championship

Kekaulike alumnus Gabe Gunter helped his California Lutheran University baseball team win their first NCAA Division III national championship in Appleton, Wisconsin.  In the winner take all game, Gunter hit a two-run double to break a scoreless tie in the bottom of the third inning and then was intentionally walked in the seventh clinching a 7-3 championship win for the Kingsmen.  For the season, Gunter batted .332 (69-for-208) with a team-high 43 RBIs and 20 doubles while playing all 51 games. He had 35 runs, two triples, 11 stolen bases, 19 walks and a .519 slugging percentage. Gabe was also named to the all-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference first team.
