Hello!
I grew up in Mexia, Texas. I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Sam Houston State University in 1994 and my Master's degree in Educational Leadership from University of Texas at Arlington in 2017. After graduating I taught sixth grade science for thirteen years at Mexia Junior High School. I then taught second grade for two years at A.B. McBay Elementary School also in Mexia, Texas. My family and I moved to Kilgore in January 2009. I taught third grade at Chandler Elementary for four years, and then I returned to my middle school roots, where I taught sixth grade Reading/Language Arts at Kilgore Middle School for four years and worked with sixth through eighth graders and their teachers as a literacy coach and RTI specialist for four years.
I am excited to serve Kilgore Middle School as the Assistant Principal for 7th grade! I look forward to continuing to work with a great group of students, parents, and staff!
