posted Dec 2, 2015, 1:06 AM by Chris Fortune   [ updated Dec 2, 2015, 1:07 AM ]

I was so impressed by St Johns College once again as the Teens Can Cook Kitchen set up for a busy two days.  We made French Crepes, Italian Gnocchi and Middle Eastern Rice Pilaf

We talked about French food, Italian Food and of course what is in our back yards, what do we call NZ food.  There was no shortage of Sous Chefs as they all gave it a go on the Teens Can Cook Kitchen, we learnt that a Sous Chef is a French word for second in charge, we learnt that they eat frogs legs and snails in France and that we have some of the best food in

New Zealand………Kiwifruit, Pavlova, Kumara, Manuka Honey, Whitebait, Mussels, Crayfish, Paua, Wild Pork and of course Pineapple Lumps !!

The Teesn Can Cook Kitchen found the best tasters in New Zealand at St Johns College and there was no shortage of good manners, respect, politeness and mana as these boys and girls gave it a go on the Teens Can Cook Kitchen

Ahuroa School is one of the best

posted Nov 30, 2015, 4:49 PM by Chris Fortune

This school is one of the best little schools in NZ and we loved our recent visit with the Kids Can Cook Kitchen

One of the best things about Ahuroa School …..is the fact that there were so many good manners, so many good taste testers as they all came up and gave it a go on the Kids Can Cook Kitchen.   It is all about giving it a go, trying something that you have never tried before, getting up and tasting something

just a little bit different…..well done to all of my taste testers, well done to all

Waikanae Primary is hungry for more

posted Oct 15, 2015, 12:18 AM by Chris Fortune

The best thing about our visit to Waikanae Primary ……… was that these guys are give it a go kids, not afraid to try anything as the Kids Can Cook Kitchen cooked up tastings for all to try.  There was lots of thumbs up, a couple of thumbs down and heaps and heaps of smiles as we whisked, flipped, cooked, chopped and sliced our way through lots of different foods.
Our Masterchef tastings were a real hit as we chewed and found out that our tongues have millions of taste buds, sweet at the front, tart, bitter and sour at the sides and savoury in the middle.  Lots of respect, lots of mana, lots of good manners on the Kids Can Cook Kitchen….well done to all
