Welcome,  This is my third year at King George and I am so excited to be here.  In 2013. I retired after 30 years working in the real business world.  I was an actuary ( a "mathematics geek") with a specialty in retirement plan consulting.  Throughout the years, I have taught and explained complicated mathematical issues in laymen's terms to people of all walks of life, from coal miners to Fortune 500 executives.  It is my goal here at KGHS to teach each student I come in contact with, not only the required mathematical knowledge, but instill in them the keys to success beyond the classroom (being prepared, listening skills, time management, etc.).  I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Mary Washington, completed the Career Switcher teacher preparation program at Shenandoah University, and am currently pursuing a Masters in Mathematical Education Instruction from the University of Texas at Arlington.  My wife of 33 years live in Spotsylvania, near our three married children (two son in-laws are KGHS graduates!) and seven grandchildren.
