SD # 60 - Summer Learning Program

NOTE:  All these camps are enrollment dependent.  They will only be offered if a minimum number of learners are registered.  (If there are enough students registered in similar programs, an effort to combine groups will be made in order to reach the minimum number of learners needed to offer the camp.)  Sessions will be 3 hours a day (generally) for 3 or 4 weeks dependant on grade level.  Starting July 4 to July 21 or 28 in the mornings.  We will contact parents and provided more details once programs are confirmed.

Primary Programs:

Grades One (as of Sept. 2017) to Three

These camps are all 3 weeks long and offered for 3 hours per day starting the week of July 3.

Intermediate Programs:

Grades Four to Six

These camps are all 3 weeks long and offered for 3 hours per day starting the week of July 3.

Middle School Programs:

Grades Seven to Nine

These camps are all 4 weeks long and offered for 3 hours per day starting the week of July 3.

Who:  Learners who would like to or could benefit from more exposure to core academic subjects with a healthy dose of fun and activity mixed in. Learners are limited to participation in one camp.

What:  School subjects but not in the standard classroom way.

When: The first 3 or 4 weeks of July.

Where: At SD #60 Facilities around the district.

Why:  Learning is fun!  Fun is learning!  - Let’s do more of it.

How: There is no cost for the actual summer learning camps.  There may be fees for consumable resources or deposits on equipment depending on the program.
