Welcome to the Kenya Research Program (KRP) website! 

The Kenya Research Program at the University of Washington provides an academic forum to support both trainees and investigators in the planning, implementation, analysis, and presentation of research conducted in Kenya.

With a 25-year history of working in Kenya, our program has collaborated with various institutions including University of Nairobi, Kenyatta National Hospital, Kenya Medical Research Institute, Coptic Mission, Walter Reed and more.

The Kenya Research Program  is directed by Dr. Carey Farquhar of the Departments of Medicine, Epidemiology, and Global Health and Dr. Scott McClelland of the Departments of Medicine, Epidemiology, and Global Health.  Participating faculty include Dr. Grace John-Stewart of the University of Washington, Departments of Global Health, Medicine, Epidemiology, and Pediatrics,  Dr. Barbra Richardson of the Department of Biostatistics, Dr. Michael Chung of the Departments of Global Health, Medicine, and Epidemiology, Dr. Judd Walson of the Departments of  Global Health, Medicine, Pediatrics, and Epidemiology, Dr. Susan Graham of the Department of Medicine and Department Of Global Health,  Dr. Jennifer Slyker of the Department of Global Health, Dr. Alison Roxby of the Department of Medicine, Dr. Brandon Guthrie of the Department of Global Health & Epidemiology, Dr. Sarah Benki-Nugent of the Department of Global Health, Dr. Alison Drake of the Department of Global Health, and Dr. King Holmes - Professor of Global Health and Medicine, and Adjunct Professor of Epidemiology and Microbiology. 

Our Kenyan colleagues include Drs. Ruth Nduati, James Kiarie, Dalton Wamalwa, Rose Bosire, Phelgona Otieno, John KinuthiaBhavna Chohan, Elizabeth Bukusi,
Irene Njuguna, Linnet Masese, Thomas Odeny, Benson Singa, Nelly Yatich, Alfred Osoti, Irene Inwani, and Minnie Kibore.
