REU students

My 2009 REU students Toan Duc Dinh and Michael Donzella published a paper On maps preserving zeroes of Lie polynomials of small degrees.
Michael continued his graduate study at Kent State University.

My 2013 REU students David Buzinski and Robin Winstanley published a paper On multilinear polynomials in four variables evaluated on matrices.
David continued his graduate study at Texas A&M University and Robin continued her graduate study at Columbia University.

My 2013 REU students Michael Kaufman and Faye Pasley published a paper On commutators of matrices over unital rings. Faye got her PhD from NCSU.

My 2014 REU students Ben Anzis, Zach Emrich and Kaavya Valiveti published a paper On the images of Lie polynomials evaluated on Lie algebras. Ben received prestigious Goldwater Scholarship and NSF Graduate Research Fellowship, and he continued his graduate study at Stony Brook University. Zach continued his graduate study at the University of Georgia. Kaavya received several prestigious awards including honorable mention for the Alice T. Schafer Prize, NSF Graduate Research Fellowship and the University Medal. She is now a PhD student at MIT.

My 2015 REU students Alex Ma and Jamie Oliva published a paper On the images of Jordan polynomials evaluated over symmetric matrices. Alex continued his graduate study at the University of Minnesota. Jamie was a graduate student at Smith College. She was a wonderful person and will be missed greatly.

My 2015 REU students Cailan Li and Man-Cheung Tsui published a paper On the images of multilinear maps of matrices over finite-dimensional division algebras. Currently, Cailan is a PhD student at Columbia University, he got a prestigious NDSEG Fellowship. Man-Cheung is a PhD student at the University of Pennsylvania.

My 2015 REU students Katherine Cordwell and George Wang published a paper Multilinear polynomials of small degree evaluated on matrices over a unital algebra. Katherine received a prestigious Goldwater Scholarship and she is now a PhD student at Carnegie Mellon University. George is now a PhD student at the University of Pennsylvania. Both Katherine and George received NSF Graduate Research Fellowships.

My 2018 REU students Fei Yu (Dennis) Chen, Hannah Hagan and Allison Wang published two papers: On skew polynomial rings over locally nilpotent rings
and On differential polynomial rings in several variables over locally nilpotent rings. Dennis is now a PhD student at the University California, Berkeley.
