Research Compliance

The Office of Research Compliance (ORC) partners with faculty, staff and students to facilitate the conduct of research that is compliant with federal, state, local and university policies. It functions as the coordinating and administrative hub for the Institutional Review Boards (IRBs) and the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC).

The mission of the ORC is to support and promote ethical research practices at Kent State University and serve the university research community by providing oversight, resources and education for compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations and university policies governing the conduct of research.
