About KVC

Our club is dedicated to helping all athletes improve their volleyball fundamentals, leadership, sportsmanship and character, while playing at a competitive level. We welcome players from area schools to tryout for positions on our teams. We will do our best to put the most competitive group of players on each team. We usually have 8 or 9 players maximum on a team and hope to have two teams at each level. Our coaches are an excellent combination of KHS VB staff members, former high school coaches and UNK players, many of whom have coached for other clubs as well. In addition to playing club in the off-season, we also encourage athletes to be members of their high school winter and spring sports teams and we will do our best to work around players school schedules when selecting the tournaments and practice times.

KVC runs just like our KHS Volleyball program and holds the same high expectations of players, coaches, parents & fans. With this said, we expect great attitudes and effort from our players. Play hard, listen to the instruction of our coaches, who we put great faith in and who are going to help each player become better.

We expect support from our parents and with this comes an understanding that our practices are closed to all fans and parents. Only our coaching staff and players are allowed at practices. We ask that parents release their kids to our coaches and our club program. We have found that player and coaches get more out of the practices when parents are not around. The tournaments are coming, and that’s when parents and fans can see our athletes. If parents come from out of town and don’t have some shopping to do, they can come in and sit in our commons/cafeteria area.

The fees for the 20223. season wIll be. $ TBA. LAST YEAR IT WAS $400. which include team fees, uniforms, coaches pay, facility/practice fees, 6 tournaments. USAV registration is not included in our fees and is to be done ahead of tryouts by the players. If a player does not make a team, the USAV has had a refund policy in place in the past and I believe they still do have that for this year. See below for specific information

Tryouts for the 22-23 Club season for KVC will be held at Kearney High on Sunday Nov 6, 2022

Ages 10U to 14U Registration & uniform fitting TBA

Ages 15U to 17U Registration & uniform fitting TBA
