What We Can Learn from theWhile the current MOOC movement is dominated by large corporate/university partnerships, the underlying movement began through experimental offerings of connectivist, open-boundary courses. Such courses are based on networked pedagogies and assumptions around knowledge and networks that appear vastly different than the majority of MOOC offerings available today. In his presentation, Dr. Couros will outline the key characteristics of these connectivist-type MOOCs and will offer a framework for understanding the importance of networked pedagogies.
