The Media Lab and Playground were initialized and established in September 2013 by Dr. Tiffany Tang and May 2014 by Dr. Pinata Winoto respectively. Since then, over 20 students have (had) worked in various research and academic projects.
Currently, 10 special interest groups have been established in these labs . More than 15 projects are in the progress or had been completed, ranging from wearable assistive devices and mobile games, augmented interactive play environments, interactive fashion application to robotics. Some recent research projects are published in ACM CHI’2015, ACM CSCW’2015 and other conferences.
