A 6-week program bringing the Beauty and Joy of Computing to Kean University!
Workshop Schedule:

Week   of June 25-29 on campus all day. (9 AM - 5PM, estimated times)
Weeks of July 2, 9, 16, and 23 online,

Week of July 30-Aug 3 on campus all day.

Funded by NSF, the University of California-Berkeley, one of the pilot sites for the new AP Computer Science: Principles curriculum, expected in 2016, will be bringing BJC professional development to our area. 
  • Curriculum materials for teaching the NEW computer science class in high school classes.
  • Examples and hands-on experience using Scratch and BYOB for the high school classroom.
  •  Hands-on experience as you take the class, learning along the way!
  • A broader understanding of computer science careers and importance to the region and to the USA.
  • 200 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and a $1000 stipend will be offered to attendees who are currently teaching in high schools.
Through the generosity of our sponsors, this event is FREE to participants,
however, space is limited.  A refundable $25 deposit is requested, to hold your spot.

2. A letter of support from your principal is requested.  A template letter can be viewed
    here.  We'd like this professional development to be useful in the coming year (2012-2013) or next (2013-2014).
3. Please mail your $25 deposit (checks only, made out to Kean University) to reserve your spot and your letter of support to:

4. Confirmation will be sent to you via email upon receipt. 

A waiting list will be maintained and if you register, but are unable to attend,
please let us know so that we may offer your spot to an individual on our waiting list.
Your deposit will be returned if we receive sufficient notice.
Attendees will have their checks returned at the conclusion of the workshop. Thank you!
