The A.L. Brown HS Naval Junior ROTC Unit had its annual inspection on February 14th and passed with flying colors. The unit was evaluated by Commander Richard Brantley of the Navy Recruiting District in Raleigh, which covers all of North and South Carolina. Commander Brantley gave the A.L. Brown High School unit very high marks and commented, "It was an absolute pleasure to visit this high functioning unit!" He also wrote: "The unit is growing and healthy, and members of the unit are participants in activities and clubs throughout the student body."
His written comments will be forwarded to the Navy chain of command in Charleston, SC and then to national headquarters in Pensacola, FL.
Everyone in Kannapolis City Schools is extremely proud of the A.L. Brown NJROTC Unit, and we congratulate them on the outstanding results of their annual inspection.
