Caballeros de Colón Gift a Nativity to St. Anne

During the Posada celebration (Dec. 15 to Dec. 23) of the Holy Family's journey from Nazareth to Jerusalem, the Caballeros de Colón, presented St. Anne parish with beautiful new statues of Mary and Joseph, and a hand-made nativity scene.

This gift of the nativity will be part of future Christmas celebrations at St. Anne.
The Caballeros de Colón are members of the Spanish Roundtable of the Knights of Columbus.
Since the Posada is a family-centered event, on the last day there were piñatas filled with candy for the children.

Holy Family Icon Presented to St. Anne Parish

On Sunday Dec 30, 2018 the Knights of Columbus presented a Holy Family icon to the parish. The icon was originally a part of the traveling Supreme KofC program to help strengthen families and revitalize our parishes. The icons traveled across the country for a year. Local Knight's councils hosted prayer services and displayed the icon to invite each family to consecrate themselves to the Holy Family and to devote themselves to the ideal model of familial love set by Jesus, Mary and Joseph.
A few years ago Fr. Tommy Hopper, pastor of St. Anne, saw the icon and asked if we could purchase a copy for the parish.

A local District Deputy James Hatcher SK, heard of the request and worked with State and Supreme to donate one of the original icons to St. Anne.
The icon was presented on December 30, 2018 during a Mass, and it will be mounted in the Holy Family narthex of the church.
