Hanchen Wang

I am currently working as a PostDoc at the Los Alamos National Laboratory, US. My recent research interest is mainly in implementing deep-learning methods to deal with seismic imaging tasks.

I received my Ph.D. and Master of Science degrees from the Seismic Wave Analysis Group at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, supervised by Prof. Tariq Alkhalifah. My dissertation research is using full waveform inversion and machine learning methods to deal with passive seismic locating issues.

Before joining SWAG, I achieved my Bachelor of Science degree at Tongji University, China. My major was geophysics. My bachelor's thesis was about well-logging data processing with Geolog Software.

Research interests:

Seismic imaging, full waveform inversion, passive seismology, anisotropy, 3D modeling and inversion, deep learning, image processing, etc.
