Karibu (meaning 'welcome' in Swahili) was set-up in 2004 to provide support to the refugees and asylum seeker women arriving in Glasgow. It is a community and volunteer led organisation. Karibu is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee. Karibu Scotland now has well over 100 members, representing 12 African countries. Our work aims to increase the confidence, skills and integration of African women. We also participate in many local and national steering groups and continually seek to influence policy makers in this field. | Karibu Scotland Pearce Institute 840-860 Govan Road Glasgow G51 3UU Tel: 0141 258 25 35 Email: info@karibuscotland.org.uk |
