Karen Schaum, MS, NCC, LPC

Karen is an accomplished Counselor serving the towns of Newtown, Danbury, New Milford, New Fairfield, and Brookfield Ct.  Karen is part of the CtCounselors Group.  The CtCounselors Group is a private practice consisting of several licensed and trained Professional Counselors and Social Workers. Our offices are in Danbury and Sandy Hook, Ct.   Our offices are centrally located and convenient to the towns of Danbury, Newtown, New Milford, Brookfield, Bethel, Sherman, New Fairfield, Bridgewater, and Ridgefield, Ct.

Karen has her Masters Degree in Counseling from Western Connecticut State University and her Bachelors degree from the City University of New York.  Karen is a Licensed Professional Counselor as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor.  Karen is a member of the American Counseling Association and the Connecticut Counseling Association.  She is a member of Chi Sigma Lota, the International Academic and Professional Honor Society for Counselors.

Karen has vast experience working with Adults, Children, and Couples.  Karen has strong professional background in Human Resources,  Communications, and Career Counseling.  Karen is experienced in Group work, including Corporate Workshops.  Karen takes an eclectic approach to therapy utilizing Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy.  Karen is part of the CtCounselors group which has offices in Newtown and Danbury Ct.  You can email her directly at Karen@CtCounselors.com.
