Albemarle High School's 1:1 Initiative

AHS is very excited to be implementing a 1:1 computer initiative.  Every student will be assigned a laptop that they may use to support their learning both in the classroom and at home.  We are looking
forward to many new learning opportunities for both our students and teachers.  We hope providing our students with laptops will allow our students to expand their classroom opportunities and create new experiences for our students.  We are looking forward to a powerful year of learning together!

Our goals are to:
  • engage all learners in experiences that facilitate the development of life-long learner skills
  • provide students opportunities to create and make meaning of their learning
  • integrate technology effectively to enhance our students' experiences
  • increase personalization, choice and connectivity for our students
  • prepare our students to be able to think creatively and critically, problem-solve, and explore opportunities to make well-informed decisions
This site is designed to be resource for both students and parents.  Listed below is basic information that you may find helpful as we begin the implementation of 1:1.  The additional pages on this site are designed to provide more information regarding laptop care, troubleshooting, school policy, digital citizenship, computing safety, and other relevant information.
