Prior to the first Monday of each month, you will receive a Mindfulness ‘lesson’ to share with your class. Lessons can take anywhere from 5 - 20min, depending on what you choose to do.
The techniques that will be introduced are things that hopefully you will be able to refer back to throughout the year, giving students tools that can support their social and emotional growth.
*Please note, the first Mindfulness Monday will be on October 19! After that it will be the first Monday!

Mindfulness is a particular way of paying attention. It is the mental faculty of purposefully bringing awareness to one’s experience. Mindfulness can be applied to sensory experience, thoughts, and emotions by using sustained attention and noticing our experience without reacting. Research shows that practicing mindfulness can improve attention, reduce stress, and results in better emotional regulation and an improved capacity for compassion and empathy
