  • Week 23: Soccer Continues
    Welcome to Week 23!

This will be our second week of our soccer unit and the kids are doing great.  We will continue gaining experience kicking soccer balls around and learning the nuances of the game.

For 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th graders we will have a quiz on soccer this week.  Here are the questions and answers:

#1.  Where should we kick the soccer ball if we want it to go up into the air?  Near the bottom of the ball

#2.  Where should we kick the soccer ball if we want it to stay on the ground?  Near the middle of the ball

#3.  Where on the foot should I strike the soccer ball if I want to have a long and powerful kick?  On the laces of the shoe

#4.  What does the goalie get to do that none of the other players get to do?  Use hands

#5.  For shorter and more accurate kicks, what part of the foot should you use?  the inside of the foot

#6.  What should your opposite foot (non-kicking foot) do before you kick a ball?  step forward with the opposite foot

That's it for now.  Have a great week!
