Distance Learning Program
Dear Garden Families,

Thank you for all of your support during the COVID-19 pandemic. Although there have been no reported cases of the virus at our school, the administration, in consultation with the Board of Trustees, other heads of schools and our health care consultant, has made the decision that it is in the health interest of children, teachers, and families for Garden School to transition from face to face learning to online remote learning.

Classes are suspended for Monday, March 16th.  Starting Tuesday, March 17th, our classes will be conducted remotely and not within our building. Teachers have been preparing for this contingency for weeks, and they are ready to transition to remote learning. The health and safety of our Garden family is our primary concern; however, our educational process will continue. Please consult Thinkwave and Google Classroom for upper school students, and Teacher Pages and packets for lower-division students. On Tuesday the portal for Google Classroom will be available. Also, feel free to email teachers and administrators at any time for further information on remote learning.

Since there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in our school, the building will be open and staffed by administrators and non-teaching staff. If you need to pick up materials, books etc., we will be there for you, starting Monday, March 16 at 9:00 am. This move to remote learning concerns Nursery through twelfth grade.

We will continue online learning until the beginning of the Spring Break, which begins on April 6th and ends on April 13th. During the next weeks, we will be evaluating the situation in consultation with health care officials and our “colleague” schools to ensure that we can return to face to face instruction as soon as possible.

Thank you once again for your support, and we will be communicating with you frequently about the status of the situation.
