iBooks Author for Creating Interactive Books for an iPad

This is a 2-hour Hands-On Session. Pre-registration is required for one of the 24 seats.

iBooks Author is a free app from Apple that allows you to create interactive books for an iPad. Using the built-in templates, you can easily drag and drop text, graphics, movies, and other content you have created and build an interactive experience for the user. Join this session to learn the basics of iBook Author and build your first iBook. Note: This is a Mac only software and books created with this software can only be read on an iPad. Update: With Apple's release of Mavericks, iBooks can now be read on a Mac. Platform: Mac

Using Google Forms to Auto-Grade Assessments

Google Forms can be an incredibly powerful assessment and data tool.  In this session, we will cover two auto-grading assessment tools, Flubaroo and templates.  With a free Google script called Flubaroo, you can automate the process of grading your student assessments. We will also explore some pre-made assessment templates that you can customize to your needs. Join us in the land of Google Forms and auto-grading assessments.
