ACADEMIC GRADE CRITERIA

PERFORMANCES (mandatory)WEEKLY ORCHESTRA REPORTS (Practice, Aesthetic Enrichment, etc.)TESTINGETIQUETTE & PROFESSIONALISM (Appears on Skyward as "Etiquette" This grade also effects Citizenship Grades.)
ETIQUETTE CRITERIA (aka Citizenship)BE PROFESSIONAL (competent, skillful, engaged)BE ONTIME & PREPARED NO CONSUMABLESNO ELECTRONICS (off after tuning)NO PLAYING (during teaching, other instruments)EQUIPMENT (proper use)
PROFESSIONALISM CRITERIA (aka Participation)BE PREPARED DAILY with YOUR folder, pencil, and working instrument. Master assigned music < week.GET RIGHT TO WORK. Immediately tune & warm up, not socialize. REST POSITION when Director takes the podium.SILENCE when Director is on and off-podium teaching, and after cutoffs. In-class practicing allowed only when Director permits. Practice @ home, not in class. RAISE HAND for Director’s permission.
