Junior Ballroom Camp was a success! Enjoy watching these talented kids in our ballroom team concert on Monday 3/21/16!
Coach Bleazard surprised the team with a visit from a dear friend, Josh Hinton. Josh has been a ballroom student of mine for three years at The Dance Centre. He graduated from Stansbury High School a year ago. He was the SBO president his senior year as well as a cross country runner, ballroom team, member of choir and show choir. He took all the advanced levels of ballet at the studio, advance jazz and hip hop too. He was our prince in the Nutcracker last year and is an amazing dancer! He was headed to BYU this past fall when he fell and broke his neck in a bounce house accident. He was transferred to Craig Hospital in Colorado, which is one of the best! He is now back in Utah, going to Neuroworx for his physical therapy. If anyone knows Coach, it's always about life lessons. We are closing our concert with a dance as a tribute to our friend, Josh. Josh is an inspiring young man who has faced something he never thought he would have to. He gave great critiques to the team as he was the captain of his ballroom team at his school his junior and senior year. He also left them with some great advice...to know what performing at 110% means! Thanks Josh! You inspire us all to do better and to be better!
Oh and of course we had another surprise visit from our very own Co J! She came to thank us for choreographing another dance for our concert in celebration of Cadee Conner's life! Cadee was a sophomore student who unfortunately lost her life in a car accident this past fall. We will be honoring Cadee, her family, the girl's basketball team and their coaches at our concert as well! It's going to be a great show, you don't want to miss it! MARCH 21st 7PM in the HHS Auditorium!
Coach selfie with the team in the mirror...it's tradition!

The best part of our Cali Trip 2016...we are a forever bonded team. We are a family...
The team took classes at The Edge Performing Arts Center. One of their favorite classes was a Master class (dips and lifts) with Gustavo Vargas. Gustavo just finished choreographing the latin sections of J.Lo's new show at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. He has toured and worked with artists such as Jennifer Lopez, Madonna, Usher, Will Smith, Marc Anthony, Britney Spears, NSYNC to name only a few. The team learned some great technique in this class, but they were also able to take a hip hop class and salsa class.
