Course Goal and Expectations

    The overall goal of this class is to help students become better readers, writers, listeners, and speakers, so they are better prepared for the eleventh grade, college, and careers.

    This year, students will study vocabulary, grammar, and world literature. Students will be held accountable for a classroom routine consisting of vocabulary, essential grammar skills, various writing assignments, and comprehending and analyzing literary works. Students will be responsible for homework averaging thirty to forty minutes each night. Students are expected to read and study at home on a regular basis.
