Instructor Qualifications

Assistant Instructor: First, second, and third degree black belt practitioners are qualified to be assistant instructors. They can practice teaching with the guidance from the chief instructor. They can also open their own school with permission from the chief instructor. Assistant instructors have no authority in grading.

Instructor Fourth, fifth, and sixth degree black belt practitioners are qualified to be instructors. They may teach locally and are qualified to grade only colour belt examinations.

International Instructor: Fourth degree and higher black belt practitioners who have passed the International Instructor and Umpire "A" course with a certificate may teach and grade students both locally and overseas. They are authorized to issue certificates in their own name.
