Here’s a chance to clean out your garage and contribute to a great science program at the same time!

Makerspaces are starting to pop up in schools all across Canada. Makerspaces provide hands-on and creative ways to encourage students to design, experiment, build and invent as they engage in science, engineering and tinkering.  A Makerspace is not only a science lab, workshop, computer lab or art room; it often has several elements found in all of these spaces.   In preparation for the 2015-2016 academic year, we would like to create our very own Makerspace, here at Joan of Arc Academy!

An important feature of any Makerspace is access to small hand and/or power tools as well as supplies.  We are looking for tool donations to help support Joan of Arc’s Makerspace and ask that any donations be brought to Ms. Forestell or outside of room 11.

Thank you for your donations!

The girls are very excited to get working.
