Library Frequently Asked Questions

When is the library open?
The library opens at 8:10 a.m. and closes at 4:25 p.m., Monday through Friday, every day of the school year.

Do I need a hall pass to come to the library media center?
A hall pass is not needed to visit the library before school, after school, during lunch, or between classes.  A pass from a teacher is needed to visit the library during class time.  The pass must be dated and include your first and last name and the teacher's name.

How many books can I check out at one time?
Typically, you can check out three books at a time.  However, talk to the librarian if you have special circumstances that require more books at once.

How long is the check-out period?
Most materials in the collection can be checked out for two weeks.  Some materials, such as eBooks (coming soon!), may have a shorter circulation period.

What should I do if I lose my library materials?
If you think you have lost your library book or material, please contact the school as soon as possible to pay for your lost materials.

Can I have food or drinks in the library?
Food is not permitted in the library media center unless the librarian has given permission for special events or circumstances. Remember, food and drinks can cause a lot of damage to library materials and technology, so this is an important rule to follow!
