10月も下旬になり学院のあるニューヨーク州ウェストチェスター郡のあたりでは紅葉が見頃を迎えております。皆様におかれましては各地で秋の季節を楽しまれていることをお祈りいたします。
学院の教育理念に帰着する重要なイベントである、トライカルチュラルオムニバスレクチャーシリーズを昨年度は7回開催いたしました。2023-2024年度においても開催いたします。初回はコロンビア大学の名誉教授であるポール・アンドラ―氏（日本文学）によるレクチャーです。
It is already late October, and in the vicinity of Westchester, New York where our school is located, the autumn leaves are at their peak. We hope that all of you are also enjoying the autumn season in various places.
Our signature event, the Tri-Cultural Omnibus Lecture Series, which is central to the mission of the Academy, was held seven times last year. We will continue to host it in the 2023-2024 academic year. The first lecture will be delivered by Professor Paul Anderer of Columbia University, an honorary professor specializing in Japanese literature.

【慶應義塾一貫教育校説明会 （バンコク、タイ）】
来る11月25日（土曜日）、Banyan Tree Bangkok ホテル にて「慶應義塾一貫教育校説明会」を開催します。当日は一貫教育校についての説明や、湘南藤沢中・高等部長による学校説明、及び、ニューヨーク学院からは山本主事が学院の説明を行います。
ここで改めて、慶應義塾ニューヨーク学院の教育の特徴とその強みについて簡単にご説明いたします。
慶應義塾ニューヨーク学院は、9年生 (中3) から12年生 (高3) が在籍する男女共学の4年制高等学校です。慶應義塾で唯一の在外一貫教育校として1990年に開校しました。米国ニュー ヨーク州から教育法人として認可されており、卒業後、NY州の高等学校卒業資格を取得できます。NYSAIS（New York State Association of Independent Schools）の認証も受けています。本学院は、日英両言語での教育の実践を設立理念の一つに掲げ、日本語と英語のどちらの言語でも意思疎通ができ、且つ『 情報発信 』能力のある人間の育成を目指しています。そのため、少人数教育による徹底したバイリンガル教育、ユニークなディベート・アンド・スピーチ授業の実践、ニューヨークという環境を最大限に活用できる文化交流プログラムなどを実践しています。生徒の多くは寮生活を送ります。寮生活では、ボーディングスクールの伝統に基づいたハウス制度を採り入れ、生徒の独立心、コミュニケーション能力、生涯にわたる友情を育んでいます。
