How can you contribute?

Game Donations

Jervis Library welcomes donations of new or used games for addition to its Unplug & Play Game Collection.  Used games should be in good condition, have all of their parts and rules, and be appropriate for players as young as 8-12 years old and up.  Games in poor condition, missing parts, or not appropriate for at least ages 8-12 will not be added to the collection. Donations that duplicate games already in the collection may be added or sold.

Unfortunately, the library can only afford staff to run Unplug and Play meetings once a month with bonus game sessions on the occasional Saturday. The library is not averse to having more game sessions, but cannot afford staff for sessions beyond those scheduled. Those willing to run extra game sessions are welcome to become trained to represent the library as Library Ambassadors in order to supervise the meeting room space during these additional sessions. Such Library Ambassador volunteers would be responsible for overseeing room setup and cleanup, setting up the refreshments table, making popcorn, and being present during the entire meeting, including making announcementsTo review the responsibilities of the Library Ambassador Volunteer, or to sign up to volunteer, please visit the Volunteer Responsibilities page.

Refreshments and Supplies

At each meeting the library provides free popcorn and lemonade.  Donations of supplies such as cups, napkins and paper plates are greatly appreciated.

Monetary Donations

The library also welcomes monetary contributions designated to assist the Unplug & Play program.  Such funds will be used to buy supplies and refreshments for meetings and to increase the game collection.  Information about donating to the library can be found on the library's website.

The following individuals and organizations have contributed to Unplug & Play by contributing games or funds to support the program.
We most heartily thank them for their assistance and support.
