  • period (geology) period | pe·ri·od | (noun) 1) A geologic period is one of several subdivisions of geologic time enabling cross-referencing of rocks and geologic events from place to place around the planet. 2) A major division of geological time that is a subdivision of an era and is itself subdivided into epochs, corresponding to a system in chronostratigraphy.

  • Geologic Time Period Research Project You will be researching a geologic time Period and its Epochs. You will be working in pairs or by yourself on a research project resulting in a digital poster and travel brochure. Begin by doing research. Your poster should include information from the document below. I attached the entire assignment document (you got it in class. It was pink) in case you lost it or would rather work entirely digitally :)
