West Jefferson Elementary (WJE) is located in southern Jefferson County, southwest of Denver on Highway 285 in Aspen Park. WJE school enrolls approximately 300 students in grades K-5 and offers a preschool, before and after school care, and a comprehensive curriculum meeting the needs of all the students- including students in our gifted and talented program as well as students with special needs. Most of the students attending WJES live in the mountain environment and are bused to and from school.
Our PTA and Accountability Committee (BAM) are very active and we encourage parent/family involvement throughout the year. For PTA sponsored programs (like Science Fair, Elf Shop, Movie Nights and Spring Carnival) or information on how to get more involved with your child's school, please go to the PTA website for more information. You can also view our BAM website for current and past presentation and agendas as well as opportunities to ask questions and give feedback.
