Revoluntionary War Battle Training days

Day 1 - Friday, January 27, 2017 at 1:00pm-3:30pm

Introduction: the students meet a "Revolutionary War soldier," then a    
Q&A, show-and-tell of period weapons and equipment, music and story-telling.

Day 2 - Friday, February 10, 2017 at 1:00pm-3:30pm

[Outfitting/drill] a crew comes with a bus full of uniforms and equipment to set students up with their gear.  While small groups are being outfitted, the rest are working on drills. 

Day 3 Training– Friday, February 24, 2017 at 1:00pm-3:30pm

 [Dress rehearsal, drill, acting and safety] more dress rehearsal, more drills, safety training and acting skills are taught.  Student officers appointed and practice commands of their troops and practice various
maneuvers.

 

Day 4 – Thursday, March 2nd - Revolutionary War Battle all day at RALSTON

Battle day- start the day with lining up for final inspection, making sure their buttons are buttoned and their hats are on straight.  At this point, the reenactment begins.  The kids will be marching past movie cameras and a drone will be hovering above all, parents who wish to buy a movie, it is optional and is $35 per movie. The kids will form ranks, charge with bayonets [everything is safe, we have never had anyone injured in 24 years], fire cannons and muskets, the kids take hits; have sword fights, etc. etc. We will follow a script and depict a historical Revolutionary battle.




Colonial Feast Celebration of our survival in the New World. Food was a plentiful and good times were had by all.
