Assistant Principal Rago

I work primarily with our junior class, the Class of 2019. One of my goals as your school administrator is to provide a safe and orderly learning environment so that every Golden High School student graduates with their classmates on time. Along with my student attendance and behavior responsibilities at Golden, my duties include scheduling,  school safety and security.
This is my 11th year at Golden High School.  I taught science including; marine biology, biology, chemistry and earth science. I hold a Masters degree in Administrative Leadership and Policy from the University of Colorado-Denver and a Bachelors in Biology from the University of Colorado-Boulder. I am passionate about public schooling and believe that education is an integral key to our students’ success as adult citizens. I love what I do and enjoy coming to Golden High School every day. It is my privilege to work for the Golden community; its students and their parents. I am also honored to be a member of our talented, professional, and dedicated faculty and staff. I am proud to be a Demon.
I am a Colorado native and a product of Jefferson County Schools myself (Pomona Panther ’83). I have been married for 26 years. I have three children. All are college grads.  Prior to my career in education, I worked in my family’s auto parts business; and prior to that I was a store manager for a large retailer. In my free time I enjoy fly fishing, fly tying, beaches, and reading. I am also an avid fan of all sports, football and hockey are my favorites.
Please feel free to contact me with any question or concern. I look forward to working alongside you and your student.
