Mr. Scott, PE
Hi, I'm Mr. Scott & I am proud to say, 2019-2020 is my 25th year as Stony Creek's PE teacher!
I am married to my wife Kathleen & we have two kids, Sammi & Nathan who both attend Chatfield Senior High School and we have one crazy yellow lab puppy named Bailey.
Students work super hard every day in my class so tennis shoes and comfy clothes are important to wear on PE days and be ready to participate! My lessons are designed to be fun, social, and engaging and I treat all kids with respect and I I expect them to treat both myself and each other with that same respect.
Mrs. Mulvey, Art
Hi, I’m Mrs. Mulvey. I teach art at Governor’s Ranch Elementary and Stony Creek Elementary.
I am a graduate of Metropolitan State College and have been teaching art in Jeffco for 13 years. Teaching children to embrace their creativity is one of my greatest passions. Art has been central to my life since I was very young and I grew up always knowing of my desire to be a visual artist.
When I’m not making or teaching art, I like to go on adventures with my teenage son, read, walk our dog and hang out with our two cats. You can learn more about my teaching style and philosophy by visiting my teacher website at: http://sites.google.com/jeffcoschools.us/artsea-website/home.
Ms. Knapp, Music
My name is Jodi Knapp. I have been teaching music at Stony Creek for the last 8 years. This year I am also teaching music at Kendallvue Elementary, which is my home school.
I am a product of Jefferson County schools, having attended Peiffer Elementary School, Carmody Junior High, and I graduated from Bear Creek High School. I didn’t go far from home for my college education, I received degrees from the University of Denver. After many years as a private instrumental teacher, I taught in DPS and then made my way back to Jeffco in 2005.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy traveling the world with my better half (Steve), relaxing with my 2 cats (Phantom and Shelby), reading, quilting, knitting, and crocheting. Music is my passion. I enjoyed music all through school but was influenced by my high school band and choir teacher to pursue music teaching as a profession. I strive to make music enjoyable for all students, engaging them with activities that are educational but most of all FUN! I can’t wait to see what all we can accomplish together in music class this year!
