The Film-Video course is designed to get students knowledgeable in the fundamentals of Pre-Production, Production, and Post-Production of film-making. In addition to the 3-phases of filmmaking students will research careers and post-secondary opportunities. 

The 3-phases of film making will be experienced by each student. This involves students writing and developing pre-production documents such as storyboards, scripts, and treatments. The production phase will have students operating cameras, microphones, and other production equipment to create the media required to bring their creative ideas to film. Students will have extensive time in post-production where they will be editing their original media into a film that is film-festival quality.

Opportunities Include;
  • Live-Broadcasting of school events to the Internet
  • Participating in the production and publishing of the weekly Gator News
  • Producing media for the digital media at school, the school website, or for extra-curricular
  • Internships with local businesses
