Hey Gators, listen up. Wish and Prom Week is coming soon and there's a lot happening.  
    - Monday is Spirit Day
            - Be sure to come to the Seniors vs. Teachers Basketball game in the main gym at 4:00pm.
              Tickets are $3 and there will be a "Chuck-A-Gator" game during half-time, the winner gets
              a Casa Bonita Gift Certificate valued at over $600.
    - Tuesday is Dynamic Duos / Harry Potter Attire
            - Bring all your coins and change to your teachers on Tuesday 4/23 for penny stalls, class
              cannot begin until all coins have been counted.
    - Wednesday is "Class Colors", freshman wear white, sophomores wear green, juniors wear
      blue, seniors wear black.
            - Don't miss the Prom and Make-A-Wish Assembly in the large gym
    - Thursday is "Disney Day and Gator Games.
    - Friday is Prom! There is no school for all students.
All week there will be a Spin-To-Win wheel, a Plinko board in upper commons during lunch, and a "rock, paper, scissors" competition, stay tuned for more details and rules. 

Monday 4/22 Kicks of Wish Week. Your student council is running a week long game that you can play for a chance to win a Casa Bonita Gift Certificate valued at more that $600. All you need to do to play is buy at least one set of beads from the Stuco Gaming area in the commons for $1. Then play rock-paper-scissors with other people that have beads. Winner gets all the beads. The players with the most beads at the assembly will play for the championship and get a trip for their family to go to the most iconic restaurant in Denver. Did you loose? No worries, you can buy back in until we run out of beads.

10th grade students, if you missed the Personal Project showcase, make ups will be held on the 18th and 19th during gator time in Ms. Martillaro's room E210 starting at 8:00am. Email her with the date that you will be attending. 

The annual Jefferson County High School Art Show is open now through May 5th at the Arvada Center. Mrs. Newton would like to celebrate the 8 Ceramic and Jewelry students from SLHS whose artwork was chosen for this 2024 show. Dulce Moreno Corchado, Jillian Briggs, Nicholas Jacyszyn, Elizabeth Westrom, Storm Simonson, Leslie Lopez-Marini, Hannah Rowe and Isabella Bonasera. Congratulations to you all! Mrs. Newton is so proud of your hard work.Please support your SLHS artists as well as all of the other amazing Jeffco Student Artists! 

Today is Boba day!! Come to the uppers commons during 7th, 8th hour or after school to try our brand new brown sugar Boba! $5. See you there!! 

The 53rd annual Jefferson County Art show is being held at the Arvada Center from April 5-May 5th. Congrats to the following photographers whose artwork was selected to be on exhibition: Kira White, Owen Folman, Elizabeth Westrom, Connor Vang, Grace Keatinge, Ember Van Metre, Isaac Champ-Mino, Ella Felmlee, Cole Jordan, Casey Lyn Gregg, and Genevieve Roberston. Special Congrats to award winners Ziv Brott for their 1st place win in Digital Illustration, Brooke Hopkins for their 2nd place win in Digital Illustration and Tyson Reeke for their 3rd place win in Digital Photography. Go check-out these amazing artworks from April 5-May 5th. 

Cheer tryouts will take place the second week of April on the 10th, 11th, and 12th from 4-7 in the Aux Gym. Don't forget to have a current physical on file and register with athletics before your tryout! See Ms. Seiler or Ms. Martillaro for more details. 

Prom royalty nominations are now posted in junior and senior advisement google classrooms. Once nominations are in a new form will be sent out with the top 5 candidates from each grade level for final voting. 

Attention Seniors! We currently have over 100 seniors with outstanding fees or fines. Are you on the list?? Please check in at the finance office. All school fees and fines must be paid prior to picking up your cap & gown in May. See Mrs Kellum in the Finance Office with questions. 

Prom guest permission slips are available in the main office. Please ensure that you collect your permission slips promptly. They must be completed and turned into the main office no later than Wednesday, April 24th by 3:30 pm. Remember, there will be NO EXCEPTIONS to this deadline. 

Get your prom tickets NOW. The cost is $60 each. You can purchase them through the Parent Portal, in the Finance office or by using the QR code on the prom posters.

Today's lunch is french toast sticks with 2 turkey sausage patties, pizza or turkey and cheese sandwich; mac-n-cheese with pretzel bites, chicken sandwich, black bean burger or chef salad; fruit, veggies and milk 

Monday's breakfast is hard boiled egg and breakfast bar, cinnamon donuts, breakfast bread or cereal, fruit or juice and milk
